Our London office is growing!

The UK market has shown great potential for Admincontrol with 50 per cent year on year growth since 2015. Due to this, Admincontrol decided to open a new office in London and continues to add more people.

The new addition to the London office, Berna Albay, is very excited to join the team.
I`m so excited to be part of the Admincontrol family. I think there are huge opportunities to explore in the UK market.

Who is Berna Albay?
I have a Bachelor in Business and a Graduate Diploma in Law from the University of London. I have worked about 7 years in sales – including several years at Thompson Reuters. I was working as a Senior Account Manager at ICE when I was approached by a recruiter about the role as a Virtual Data Room Business Development Director at Admincontrol. And this was an amazing opportunity that I couldn’t miss.

Why did you accept the role as a Virtual Data Room Business Development Director at Admincontrol?
First, I think it is an amazing opportunity to be able to build up a new Data Room team in the UK. I will utilize the network and connections that I have built up throughout my years in the banking and financial industry. I think there is a huge potential in this market. I have also been very impressed with the company`s culture. The first thing that struck me about Admincontrol is that the company values its employees. At Admincontrol, you are not just a number, but a real person. People are SO friendly – it sorts of feels like a family.

Do you see a big potential for Admincontrol in the UK market?
Admincontrol established its Glasgow-based UK operation in 2014 and has been a challenger in the market since then. The UK market has shown great potential and growth over the last couple of years, which indicates that there is a need for data rooms in the UK market. From what I have read, UK is positioned to remain an attractive location for M&A in 2019, which is positive for us. So yes, I see huge opportunities to explore in the UK.

Virtual Data Room Business Development Director, Berna Albay, is looking forward to ramp-up and target the UK with great intensity. Here she is visiting the Oslo-office

What will be the biggest challenge?
One challenge is that neither Admincontrol nor Visma is well known in the UK, so I think the biggest job will be to attend events where our target groups are present, like M&A events, to get our name out there. We need to make the companies aware of what services Admincontrol can offer – because they need them. In the beginning, I think it will be very important to build relationships and brand awareness is crucial to this.

Why would you recommend companies looking to undertake an M&A process in the UK-market to contact Admincontrol?
We offer a solution that is simple to use for all parties in a due diligence process, and the support and service we provide is above and beyond. We help to streamline and simplify complicated processes, and in the end, this is what matters most to our customers. The solution is secure, affordable, transparent, and all the data is stored in Norway.
